Hong-Gyu Park is an experimental optical physicist focused on the interaction of light and materials with deeply subwavelength scale structures. He is also the Director of the Center for Subwavelength Nanowire Photonic Devices at Korea University. He received both his B.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2004) degrees from KAIST, and was later a postdoc at KAIST and Harvard University.
High performance nanophotonics, eavelength-scale active and passive photonic crystal structures with high-quality factors, functional engineering and fundamental study of semiconductor nanowire structures, all-optical devices and optical integrated circuits, novel nanofabrication techniques.
