• 알렉산더 로트코프 교수는 2007년 하이델베르크 대학교에서 학위를 받았습니다. 2008년 일본 문부과학성(MEXT) 정부 장학금을 받고 도쿄 대학교에 입학하여 2011년 물리학 박사 학위를 취득하였습니다. 이후 독일 빌레펠트 대학교, 스위스 베른 대학교, 독일 하이델베르크 대학교에서 박사 후 연구원으로 근무한 뒤, 2016년 하이델베르크 대학교의 공동 연구 센터 ISOQUANT에서 주니어 그룹 리더 및 과학 매니저로 활동하였습니다. 2018년 그는 노르웨이 스타방에르 대학교에서 종신 재직권을 갖춘 부교수로 임명되었으며, 2020년 정교수로 승진하였습니다. 2025년 3월, 고려대학교 물리학과 교수로 부임하였습니다.
  
  
  Alexander Rothkopf received his diploma from Heidelberg University in 2007. Joining the University of Tokyo with a MEXT government scholarship in 2008, he graduated with a PhD in physics in 2011. Postdoctoral researcher positions at Bielefeld University (Germany), University of Bern (Switzerland) and Heidelberg University (Germany) followed, before Alexander became junior group leader and scientific manager of the collaborative research center ISOQUANT at Heidelberg University in 2016. In 2018 he was appointed tenured associate professor at the University of Stavanger (Norway), where he advanced to a full professor position in 2020. In March 2025 Alexander joined Korea University as full professor in physics.

경력 및 수상

박사후 연구원 시절, 알렉산더 교수는 2015년 일본에서 열린 제25회 초상대론적 원자핵 충돌 국제학회(QuarkMatter 2015)에서 이론 부문 단독 수상자로 선정되어 엘스비어 Nuclear Physics A 젊은 과학자상을 받았습니다. 2019년에는 노르웨이 스타방에르 대학교에서 뛰어난 연구 업적을 인정받아 Lyse 연구상을 공동 수상하였습니다. 2022년부터 2026년까지 그는 노르웨이 젊은 과학자 아카데미(Young Academy of Norway) 회원으로 임명되었습니다. 스타방에르에서 근무하는 동안, 그는 노르웨이-일본 학술 네트워크(JSPS Norway-Japan Academic Network)의 부위원장을 맡았으며, 유럽 핵물리 협력 위원회(NuPECC)에서 노르웨이 대표로 활동하였습니다. 또한 과학 대중화에 대한 깊은 관심을 바탕으로, 국제 과학 홍보 단체인 Pint of Science의 스타방에르 지부를 설립하였습니다. 그는 다수의 워크숍과 학회를 조직하였으며, 특히 제14회(온라인) 및 제15회(대면) Confinement국제 학회를 주최하였습니다.

As postdoc Alexander received the sole Elsevier Nuclear Physics A Young Scientists Award for Theory at the XXV International Conference on Ultrarelativistic Nucleus-Nucleus Collision (QuarkMatter 2015) in Japan. In 2019 he was co-recipient of the Lyse research award for outstanding research achievements at the University of Stavanger (Norway). Between 2022-2026 Alexander is appointed member of the Young Academy of Norway. During his tenure in Stavanger, he was the vice chair of the JSPS Norway-Japan Academic Network, the representative of Norway to the Nuclear Physics European Collaboration Committee (NuPECC) and with a strong interest in science outreach he founded the Stavanger city chapter of the international outreach organization Pint of Science. He organized various workshops and conferences, including the XIV (virtual) and XV (in-person) edition of the international Confinement conference.
