Associate Professor Seung Joon Lee's research is working on elementary particle theory. He received both his B.S. (1999) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from Cornell University, and was a research associate at Stonybrook University (2007-2008) and at Weizmann Institute of Science (2008-2011) an became assistant professor at KAIST (2011-2015) before joining Korea University. Research Interests His research interest includes uncovering New Physics beyond the standard model of particle physics responsible for the electroweak symmetry breaking. This research includes interpreting new experimental results or build a field theory based model which can be tested in the experiments, as well as understanding the nature of dark matter. He's also interested in building a theoretical tools such as effective field theories and jet substructure method, which are essential for interpreting the data from collider experiments.
