Abstract : Symmetry has played significant roles in the progress of fundamental physics and it provides one of the most powerful tools in theoretical physics. In this talk, I will present my own view on “Symmetries” in the context of theoretical particle physics. In the second part of the talk, I will introduce a recently developing concept called “Generalized Global Symmetry” and describe its impact on particle physics.
